📋 Description

• Data Product Owner will be responsible for maximizing the value of data by identifying and prioritizing features for the data team. • This role will understand the needs, strategic objectives, and industry norms of all MeridianLink’s business processes and data products to clearly express feature requests. • The role will coordinate and communicate across technical, business, and customer-facing teams. • Responsible for the success of the product by maximizing the output of the development team within a scrum framework. • Responsible for representing the product backlog items, ordering the items to best achieve goals, and optimizing the value of the work the team performs. • Expected to participate in stand-up meetings, lead sprint planning, and backlog grooming. • Will create and communicate business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that translate business needs into clear work items submitted into sprints. • The role will work closely with customers, business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to understand, analyze, refine, prioritize, and communicate needs to ensure a full understanding of project scope, objectives, and requirements. • Responsible for staying up to date on and ensuring compliance with data related laws and relevant subject area knowledge.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent work experience) • Be able to work on problems of a moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors • Be able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action • Ability to apply learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and in an organized manner • Knowledge of Data Strategy, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Science, and Data Engineering concepts • Experience coordinating and planning cloud data roadmaps and deliverables • 2-4 years of experience in developing, planning, and/or deploying data solutions in the financial services and/or software industry
