Description

• Project Design: Develop structural designs for US-based and international client projects utilizing Mighty Buildings’ panelized construction system;Create detailed structural Revit models, perform calculations, and generate accurate drawings. Prepare take-offs and support cost estimation processes. • Product Development: Identify new product opportunities using Mighty Buildings technology and develop designs, typical structural details, and full-scale mockups. • Structural Analysis: Conduct comprehensive structural analyses to assess the load-bearing capacity and stability of various components, including steel, structural insulated panels, and wood framing. • Design Collaboration and Problem Solving: Collaborate closely with architects, construction teams, and other engineers to integrate structural elements seamlessly into overall building designs. • Building Code Compliance: Ensure all designs and construction practices comply with local building codes, environmental conditions, and industry standards to maintain structural integrity and building safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), major in Structural Engineering. Familiarity with seismic design. • Proven experience with Revit, Autocad and/or structural FEM software, and structural design analysis software. • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with strong knowledge of seismic design. • At least 5 years of work experience in residential or commercial construction. • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods. Ability to implement United States building and local zoning code requirements, particularly for California and Florida. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Startup mindset: a hands-on, jack-of-all-trades candidate who is a self-starter, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity, problem solving, and innovation.
