📋 Description

• At The Mission Continues, we empower veterans to continue their service and empower communities with veteran talent, skills and preparedness to generate visible impact. • Platoon Operations Managers support our volunteer platoon leaders on the ground across the country. • This role is full-time, temporary employment, at-will, and does not give you rights to a permanent staff position. • You will work closely with the Platoon Operations Team to continuously improve the way we recruit, train, support and retain our volunteers. • Provide comprehensive support, coaching, and guidance to volunteer Platoon Leadership Teams. • Foster collaboration with other teams to identify shared outcomes. • Prepare and submit comprehensive, accurate, informative, and timely reports. • Share best practices and implement effective processes focused on volunteer recruitment and engagement. • Provide guidance, support, and feedback on volunteer engagement and management. • Support and inform the training of leaders, evaluation of the platoon program. • Manage Platoon Leadership Team budgets. • Communicate effectively on TMCs behalf in handling first line grievance activity.

• Must display proficient leadership and multi-tasking abilities. • Active listener and thoughtful and strategic when conveying feedback, sharing ideas, or responding to inquiries to various audiences in multiple formats. • A passionate, culturally competent individual who can successfully work with diverse groups and individuals regardless of race, gender, income, identity, sexuality, disability, and veteran status. • Project management skills: A planner and organizer who can define tasks and milestones. • Adaptability: tackle challenges and unfamiliar scenarios head-on. • Teamwork & Collaboration: value many voices and handle interpersonal issues constructively. • Technology skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with database operations. • Spanish language skills are a plus.
