β’ The Hematology US Scientific Director, Medical Affairs (SDMA) drives scientific excellence in USMAβs five strategic pillars. β’ The SDMA is an experienced therapeutic area leader/subject matter expert guiding FM strategy and training. β’ The SDMA partners with the Global TA team and cross-functional members to enable US regional implementation of the Value and Implementation Plan. β’ Responsibilities include strategizing local training and prioritizing field resources within the Hematology program. β’ The SDMA engages with various stakeholders to facilitate training and ensure alignment of training activities and congress content.
β’ An advanced degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) relevant to the specific disease area and recognized medical expertise in the Oncology space β’ A minimum of 5 years of medical affairs experience or equivalent clinical/research experience in Oncology specifically expertise in the hematology space β’ A minimum of 3 years of working in Hematology (clinical, research, or pharmaceutical environment) or within a highly relevant TA with demonstrated scientific acumen β’ Demonstrated ability to interpret and execute strategy β’ Ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts one to one and in group settings β’ Experience leading complex projects with demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and to function in a fast-paced environment β’ Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organizational environment and to effectively operate in a team-oriented structure promoting inclusion, maintaining trust, and respecting others β’ Excellent relationship and networking skills to effectively work across a heavily matrixed organization β’ Knowledge of US healthcare system, national and society treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines β’ Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills β’ Preferred Field MA experience β’ University-level teaching experience β’ Understanding of adult learning principles and innovative delivery platforms β’ Experience in pharmaceutical industry training organizations β’ Ability to learn about new subject areas and environments quickly and comprehensively β’ Ability to work well independently across several projects and address complex problems with discipline β’ Excellent Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
