• Responsible for the initial analysis of genetic data and the upload and preparation of the data for data review in the GeneSight Data Analysis Software. • Determines acceptability and if re-work is required. • Analyzes raw data for patient testing results including input of analysis parameters according to SOPs. • Makes judgement calls for individual samples and confirming or overwriting automated calls and uploads them to the data analysis software. • Determines if re-work is required and what type of re-work. • Identifies samples that have failed and ensures that they are repeated in a timely manner. • Records and follows-up on non-conformances identified during data review. • Provides technical expertise and guidance to laboratory personnel in troubleshooting technical problems and ensures that corrective actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from established performance specifications. • Communicates with lab supervisors or Lab Directors regarding non-conformant data. • Maintains technical and scientific expertise in the field of molecular diagnostics and pharmacogenetics and participates in continuing education activities. • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a medical technology or biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science with minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience. • At least 1 year experience in a high complexity clinical laboratory preferred. • Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work effectively under tight timelines and schedules. • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member. • Ability to sense the importance or impact of issues and situations and take appropriate actions. • Ability to occasionally work a variable schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. • Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated. • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
