Description

• Effectively leads the billing, collection and accounts receivable management team. • Manages the activities of the billing staff through daily supervision. • Executes and implements strategic goals through the leadership team. • Functions as a member of the leadership team in strategic planning and advisory capacities. • Directs Billing Payment Posting and Cash Applications Management and staff. • Establishes and maintains all billing and financial data. • Analyzes reimbursement from all sources. • Assures maximization of cash collections. • Maintains and enhances billing policies and procedures. • Prepares detailed analyses and reports of billing and accounts receivable activity and results. • Manages for continuous improvements within the revenue cycle process. • Provides mentoring, coaching and performance reviews for direct reports. • Ensures consistent quality of the billing services. • Leads a high performance team responsible for Data Entry, Cash and Non-cash Posting. • Actively collaborates with the RCM Finance team. • Participates in the Compliance Committee for Coding and Billing related items. • Develops and monitors operating procedures. • Creates and holds billing leadership accountable for established performance and production standards. • Conducts annual performance evaluations. • Provides direction and development of associates. • Assesses performance and provides timely feedback to staff. • Determines additional training needs. • Prepares annual performance evaluations and recommends merit increases. • Identifies and implements opportunities for automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent required • Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing a high volume, fast growing billing office within the laboratory setting is preferred (staff of 50-100). • Extensive knowledge of reimbursement, billing, coding and compliance regulations is required.
