Description

• Assist with processing company-wide payroll for NativePath, including but not limited to terminations, bonuses, and regularly scheduled semi-monthly payroll. • Export hours from time-keeping platforms and import into Namely’s payroll system. • Register in applicable states, cities, or counties for all new hires in a timely manner. • Add and update pay frequency, rate and Tax IDs into our payroll system, Namely. • File and send payments for the states/counties not handled by Namely. • Review all Tax notifications that arrive via mail/email, research, and process. • Grant TPA for Namely as needed. • Ensure that all necessary returns are being processed - remaining up to date on any new state requirements (i.e. retail delivery fees). • Update and maintain passwords in Avalara. • Review and update transactions/tax settings in TaxJar. • Track and request refunds for overpaid balances or upload them to Avalara/Namely to offset payments. • Register multiple states annually for the Business Retail Licenses. • Assist team members with direct deposit and withholding tax questions. • Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timely distribution of year-end W-2 forms. • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to payroll processing. • Assist with HR compliance special projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent experience processing full cycle payroll and managing payroll tax utilizing a 3rd party vendor. • Experience working with Namely HRIS and Payroll platforms is strongly preferred. • Familiarity with nationwide payroll practices, processes, related regulatory requirements and knowledge of reciprocity and local tax rules in a remote work environment. • Must have strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and deadline-driven. • Ability to handle time-consuming and tedious tasks with accuracy. • Proficient in Google Sheets and Excel. • Strong experience with payroll garnishments. • Payroll tax experience is required. • Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness. • Strong commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding employee records. • Ability to consistently meet deadlines. • Collaborates well in a team working environment.
