β’ Generate new business through cold calling, on average 40 calls per day β’ Build and maintain a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities β’ Partner with internal subject matter experts to become well educated in all OEC products and services β’ Offer solutions through OEC Group's services including ocean, air, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance and customs brokerage β’ Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team β’ Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client's key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs β’ Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client's needs are met β’ Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory β’ Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions
β’ 5-10 years of freight forwarding business development/outside sales experience β’ Possesses a book of business in international ocean, air and/or customs brokerage β’ Demonstrated hunter mentality to continuously bring in new business opportunities
