Description
• This position will be primarily responsible in testing various applications newly developed by Cloud Engineering group. • The position will be directly involved in building automation framework for testing APIs and cloud based services. • This position will eventually be developing automated tests in conjunction with the development efforts. • The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts for APIs. • This role requires a deep understanding of API testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure the robustness and reliability of our APIs. • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases. • Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure they are met. • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed feedback to the development team. • Develop and maintain test content for automated validation test of cloud software releases. • Participate in product design reviews, data analysis, production issue debugging and support. • Participate in all Agile ceremonies. • Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field; 7+ years of experience in API Testing/Automating • Proven experience as an API Test Engineer or similar role. • Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, REST & SOAP • Proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest-Assured, SoapUI). • Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). • Experience with both manual and automated API testing. • Familiarity with Continues Build Systems (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo) • Familiarity with database concepts and usage. • Familiarity with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. • Familiarity with source control, continuous integration, and testing methods (i.e., Git, Perforce). • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality • Outstanding team player and proactive
