📋 Description

• Collaborates in the development of Oscar’s state public policy agenda • Manages tactical implementation of state advocacy strategy by communicating Oscar's policy opinions • Serves as an important partner to business teams in understanding state legislative and regulatory landscape • Reports to the Associate, General Counsel • Works with state legislatures and executive officials on Oscar’s state policy strategy • Establishes Oscar as a credible expert with state legislators on public policy issues • Tracks all state policy proposals and informs teams of developments • Authors analysis, comment letters on proposed legislation • Manages team of state legislative analysts • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years experience in fast-paced public policy environments at the state level, with at least 4+ years experience managing a function critical to business growth • 5+ years experience in healthcare policy • 5+ years combined experience as state legislative staff on a committee with jurisdiction over health policy, an applicable executive agency or entity with jurisdiction over health policy (insurance or health dept. or Governor’s office) or as a lobbyist engaged with such entities • 5+ years experience providing strategic counsel to senior policy executives and C-Suite members
