Description

• Supervise the physician team determining medical appropriateness of services • Collaborate with business units to influence departmental strategy • Ensure efficient management and adherence to quality standards • Report to Senior Medical Director, UM Operations • Oversee workforce management to ensure timely medical reviews • Partner with Senior Medical Director on Utilization Management program • Serve as clinical liaison for clinical business operations • Manage direct reports and develop their professional growth • Collaborate with departments on Utilization Management Operations • Lead projects and drive initiatives to completion • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

• Board certified or eligible MD or DO with a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the US. • 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry • 3+ years of clinical practice with specialization in internal medicine, family medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine • 3+ years of utilization review experience in a managed care plan • 3+ years of leadership experience as a people manager
