Mobile Money β’ Payments
β’ As a Strategic Account Executive at pawaPay, you will manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closing deals. β’ You will collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and treasury, to address challenges and finalise agreements. β’ Experience in the mobile money or payments space is a plus but not required. β’ Your main duties will include: β’ Generate new business opportunities by identifying and targeting merchants across Sub-Saharan Africa interested in leveraging mobile money payments for their operations. β’ Conduct thorough discovery calls and qualification meetings using methodologies such as MEDDPIC and BANT to understand prospects' needs, pain points, and buying criteria. β’ Deliver compelling product meetings tailored to the specific requirements and use cases of potential merchants, showcasing the features, benefits, and value proposition of our mobile money fintech solutions. β’ Collaborate with prospects to develop and execute proof of concept (POC) projects, demonstrating the feasibility and effectiveness of our mobile money payments platform in meeting their business objectives. β’ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing mobile money transactions across Sub-Saharan Africa, guiding merchants through the onboarding process and addressing any compliance-related concerns. β’ Lead contract negotiations, overcome objections, and drive the contract signing process to secure new business partnerships and revenue opportunities. β’ Build and nurture strong relationships with merchants, serving as their trusted advisor and advocate within the company.
β’ 5+ years of proven work experience in sales or business development roles, with a track record of success in acquiring and onboarding merchants or clients β’ Are comfortable self generating opportunities and are used to running the sales process from end to end β’ Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to diverse audiences β’ Experience using sales methodologies such as MEDDPIC and BANT to qualify leads and drive sales conversations β’ Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive deals to closure β’ Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team β’ Self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented approach β’ Have worked with HubSpot or a similar CRM previously.
