• Expand and maintain high quality business relationships with Investment Advisors by ensuring on-going product and sales support to existing clients. • Identify and pursue new relationships and opportunities with prospective clients within the territory to drive sales. • Arranges one-on-one, group and/or branch meetings with financial advisors to promote new and existing company products. • Service and educate advisors through presentations, branch meetings and road shows. • Assist advisors with business building strategies. • Consistently achieve or exceed activity targets and sales goals. • Maintain detailed notes within CRM of meetings, conversations, and all types of interactions with clients and prospects. • Works extensively and within a team environment to meet and/or exceed company sales objectives. • Contribute to the overall PenderFund team by participating in initiatives, developing and sharing information on best practices and sales strategies.
• Minimum 5+ years experience in a sales role in the asset management/investment industry. • University degree preferred or equivalent work experience. • Completion of or working towards an advanced certification preferred, CFA, MBA, CFP or CIM. • Strong interest and knowledge in capital markets, particularly of the stock and bond markets and how they relate to mutual funds and alternative investment products. • Ability to keep up-to-date on past, current and future trends in the financial services industry. • A willingness to pursue new and creative ideas, the motivation to achieve results, dedicated and energetic. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal & written. • Individual contributor who excels in a team environment. • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to use their initiative in maximizing sales. • Proficient with Salesforce and Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint. • Ability to travel extensively.
