Description

• Responsible for generating sales and developing new business along with servicing and managing existing clients. • Effective territory management and planning will be key to achieve sales, product diversity and budget targets. • Expand and maintain high quality business relationships with Investment Advisors. • Identify and pursue new relationships and opportunities with prospective clients within the territory to drive sales. • Service and educate advisors through presentations, branch meetings and road shows. • Assist advisors with business building strategies. • Consistently achieve or exceed activity targets and sales goals. • Maintain detailed notes within CRM of meetings, conversations, and all types of interactions with clients and prospects. • Work extensively and within a team environment to meet and/or exceed company sales objectives. • Contribute to the overall PenderFund team by participating in initiatives, developing and sharing information on best practices and sales strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years experience in a sales role in the asset management/investment industry • University degree preferred or equivalent work experience • Completion of or working towards an advanced certification preferred, CFA, MBA, CFP or CIM • Strong interest and knowledge in capital markets, particularly of the stock and bond markets and how they relate to mutual funds and alternative investment products • Ability to keep up-to-date on past, current and future trends in the financial services industry • A willingness to pursue new and creative ideas • Motivation to achieve results, dedicated and energetic • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal & written • Individual contributor who excels in a team environment • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to use their initiative in maximizing sales • Proficient with Salesforce and Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint • Ability to travel extensively
