Description

β€’ This position works with a professional team of physicians and other staff trained in dermatology. β€’ Patient focused with the objective of delivering superior patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience. β€’ Serves patients and visitors by answering phones, assisting with registration and intake, scheduling appointments, and processing payments. β€’ Acts as first point of contact for incoming billing customer service calls. β€’ Provides optimum customer service for all patient inquiries and returns phone messages within 24 hours. β€’ Must deal diplomatically with complaints and function well under pressure. β€’ Utilizes resources to troubleshoot and resolve patient issues.

Requirements

β€’ High School graduate or equivalent β€’ Education in medical billing or hold medical billing certification preferred β€’ Mod Med/EMA practice management system experience is a plus β€’ Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner β€’ Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to think critically and strategically β€’ Be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently while in a remote working environment β€’ Must be an exceptional listener, with the proven ability to problem-solve issues β€’ Interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills are important β€’ Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information β€’ Knowledge of health plan benefits (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) and eligibility verification β€’ Must be able to read, interpret and explain EOBs and patient responsibility in detail.
