• In a world where many social apps measure their success by time spent online, Raya is a technology company focused on providing utility. • Our iOS only app is a tool for discovery of and access to exciting people, events, opportunities, and recommendations globally. • We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a talented and dynamic engineering team. • The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in managing software development teams, with a deep knowledge of Node.js, or Golang. • Familiarity with cloud architectures, services, deployment models, and distributed systems is necessary. • Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver on commitments are valued. • This role involves working closely with leadership, product managers, designers, and data team stakeholders to deliver business impact. • Comprehensive benefits include medical and dental coverage, vacation, and a travel stipend.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field. Or equivalent industry experience • Minimum 4 years of experience in people management of high performance teams • Deep knowledge of Node.js is expected • Familiarity with cloud architecture, services, deployment models, and distributed systems is required • Proven project management skills - a track record of creative problem-solving, and execution to fulfill commitments • Experience sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring software engineers • Excellent communication, and leadership skills with a clear ability to empower team members • Experience serving within and administering an operational excellence program: production readiness, observability, on call • Ability to work closely with leadership, product managers, designers, and data team stakeholders to deliver significant business impact
