• Remotebase is more than just a job search platform - we're building a remote work community where you can thrive and succeed. • We connect top tech talent with top clients and make it easy for you to find the job you want. • This is what you’ll be doing: • Architect data exfiltration pipelines for our fleet of field devices and high frequency research sensors over low-bandwidth communications links. • Implement highly-available data warehousing with intuitive APIs and efficient query infrastructure. • Create monitoring and control software that flag issues with the power grid in real-time and enable operators to dispatch the appropriate resources needed to fix them. • Design intuitive access patterns that enable our data science teams to run analysis on collected data. • Deploy new and existing cloud infrastructure that scales with our growing customer-base. • Collaborate cross-functionally with our hardware team, data scientists, full-stack engineers, and embedded software engineers to super-charge their workflows.
Requirements
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend web frameworks (Django Core) • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience • Having experience with React Js would be a huge plus • Experience building a large-scale cloud-based application • Ability in constructing scalable ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and APIs • Comfortable developing on UNIX with an understanding of networking, filesystems, and scripting • Knowledge of version control, automated deployments, testing pipelines, and container configuration • Solid experience with SQL. Preferably, Postgres and having exposure of GraphQL would be a plus • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure solutions such as AWS, GCP, Azure
