📋 Description
• Seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer for WEX Mobility Engineering team focusing on developing SaaS and PaaS for EV energy transition • Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable backend solutions • Design, implement, and maintain robust REST APIs using Java and related frameworks • Optimize and maintain critical legacy systems • Become a subject matter expert in your functional area • Analyze existing systems and identify areas for improvement • Support live applications by implementing monitoring • Proactively review code, mentor team members • Develop CI/CD pipelines and contribute to deployment automation
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience • Solid hands-on experience developing applications using Java, Springboot, REST APIs • Experience with event-driven microservices architecture using Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka • Experience in low level technical designing and writing user stories (JIRA, Confluence) • Strong database skills (SQL, Postgres, Liquibase) • Demonstrable CI/CD experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Pick up new technology and switch between tech stacks with a minimum of fuss • Comfortable working on backend code, services, data stores, and infrastructure systems • Solid architect/designer • Experience writing modern software deployed in the cloud • Comfortable with encryption schemes, modern APIs, and frameworks • Experience on agile teams to deliver software iteratively • Highly adaptable, versatile, and dependable member of a highly agile and dynamic software engineering team • Leader and mentor of the scrum team and perform the role of scrum master when necessary • Advocate, mentor, and execute engineering best practices • Drive a test-driven development approach and take responsibility for any stage within the software development life-cycle
