📋 Description
• Direct the overall management of contracts and subcontracts required to operationalize a large multi-site multi-trial Clinical/Data Coordinating Center. • Establish and manage multiple sub-Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contracts with universities, clinical research sites, contract research organizations, and other organizations as required. • Oversee the financial components of the program and liaise directly with the funding client. • Lead a team in establishing and managing contracts with various vendors for clinical trial operationalization. • Serve as a liaison between subcontract and technical/clinical teams; communicate with and provide guidance to partner institutions. • Provide updates on sub-OTA status to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. • Manage the invoice tracking and approval process to ensure compliance with contractual terms. • Ensure all client-related contracts are negotiated effectively and executed per policies.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree and at least 12 years of experience, or a Master's degree and at least 10 years of experience, or a PhD and at least 6 years of experience. • Excellent knowledge of Smartsheet, MS Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel. • Experience managing large program contracts and budgets (>$100M). • Familiarity with Supplier Gateway, OnBase, and the Subcontracts database or equivalent systems. • Familiarity with NIH and Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contracting mechanisms. • Experience leading project management activities including planning, negotiation, and administration of OT sub-agreements, coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of the program. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work well with others in a team capacity. • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and develop/manage project management tools and processes to oversee OT subawards. • Ability to represent RTI in high-level meetings with OT sub-awardees, facilitate project discussions, resolve issues, and ensure successful award execution within the established scope and timeline. • Ability to train and mentor staff on OT-subaward project management processes and ensure the effective execution of OT-funded projects. • Ability to educate sub-OT Awardees on the specifics of OT funding mechanisms and how they differ from grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements.
