Description

• Support Collins Aerospace avionics products and systems, including Flight Management Systems, Navigation, Communication, Autopilot, Cabin Management, Sensors, Fire Protection and other related systems. • Plan, schedule and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives. • Possess a complete understanding and application of Aviation principles, concepts, practices and standards. • Solve systems/technical problems at various levels of scope and complexity, which may require data and root cause analysis. • Aptitude to question and discover the customers’ actual needs and requirements in the most expedient manner. • Ability to understand and apply problem solving principles, concepts, practices and procedures with guidance as needed. • Ensure timely resolution of customer support and assistance requests utilizing established procedures. • Engage with colleagues and team members to provide corrective action and resolutions to customer queries. • Develop solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. • Provide effective and timely problem solving support for assigned systems/products to assure highest ratings in customer satisfaction and reliability. • May require working unusual hours for AOG (aircraft on ground) situations.

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree in an Aviation related field and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience. • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status). • Experience supporting or repairing avionics equipment. • Experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, electronics, or a related field required.
