β’ The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities of payroll processing and the payroll tax functions to ensure the timely and accurate remittance in accordance with governmental regulations. β’ Establishes and maintains processes to ensure the timely and accurate payment of earned wages, less appropriate deductions for all of Safelite employees. β’ Continually reviews the systems, controls, and procedures necessary to achieve maximum accuracy and efficiency with the highest level of quality service. β’ Manages, reviews, and audits the processing and retention of all weekly GL entries. β’ Acts as a functional expert resource person and provides a working relationship with Finance for the Payroll/Time system. β’ Manages and coordinates the payroll/payroll tax of multi-country shadow payroll and work with HR, Legal and third-party payroll advisors to ensure all payroll/payroll taxes are accurately paid and recorded. β’ Partner and communicate cross functionally with key stakeholders to meet associate and company expectations of payroll service delivery as well as compliance and timekeeping laws. β’ Act as key partner for internal and external payroll related audits including legal matters. β’ Coordinates, prepares, and designs special reports, documents, and analyses as required or requested by HR, Benefits, Finance, Legal and other department managers or their subordinates or outside government agencies such as the IRS or state and local authorities. β’ Functional owner of the ADP payroll system that includes implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of system; designing and defining queries, data types, and security profiles; and developing and conducting payroll related system training. β’ Researches and responds to inquiries by internal and external auditors, PLD, Compensation, and Benefits departments, and the IRS and other governmental agencies. β’ Assists with acquisition migration, system changes and testing as needed. β’ Manages the payroll and timekeeping customer support service center as well as maintaining the payroll scripts to service employees. β’ Manages the Payroll Tax & GL Analyst, Payroll Specialists & Payroll Employee Service team.
β’ Bachelor's Degree Required β’ 7-9 years multi-state payroll processing and tax experience Required β’ Payroll Certification Required β’ Familiarity with Federal, State and local tax laws (Medium proficiency) β’ Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines. β’ Excellent written and verbal communication (High proficiency) β’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment β’ Fosters a strong sense of team, encouraging team members to work collaboratively (High proficiency) β’ Ability to maintain complex payroll records, summaries, and reports. β’ Demonstrated ability to build processes, seek, evaluate, implement best practices, and operational efficiencies.
