• Company Profile • At Sand Cherry Associates, we excel in the design and delivery of strategic customer-centric initiatives through digitally native, data-empowered solutions. • Our client’s confidence in us is centered on exceptionally skilled, high-energy talent working with the support of the full Sand Cherry team. • Finding the right match for this role is a critical aspect of continuing that success. • Our client is a forward-thinking, growth-driven energy company focused on creating value for its stockholders. • It’s core business is to produce natural gas from its owned and operated upstream businesses, which are supported by four business lines: natural gas production; natural gas gathering, processing and transportation; power generation; and carbon capture, utilization and sequestration. • Overview • We are recruiting an experienced Director, Program Management for direct hire at an oil and gas client. • The Director, Program Management is responsible for leading and executing cross-functional and critical enterprise projects and programs using best practices. • This work involves strategic planning, project management, executive-level communication, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure the projects/programs deliver on its intended outcomes. • Collaborate with functional leadership, project/program leadership and PMOs across the Company to define, standardize, and manage Project/Program Management governance, processes, reporting frameworks, and tools. • This role collaborates with experienced professionals, implements policies and strategies for short-term results, and influences others outside their own area of work regarding policies, practices, and procedures. • This role may require up to 20% travel. Qualified candidates must be able to work within the United States and not require any visa sponsorship. • This position will work MST and CST times zones primarily but may be expected to work additional time zones as needed. • Responsibilities • Strategic program management direction and leadership to identify and mitigate any potential risks that may impact enterprise wide program and/or project management success. • Maintain transparent and effective communication with numerous cross functional stakeholders and Executive level senior management. • Direct, manage, monitor and report on the progress and performance of the entire program portfolio. • Make Executive level recommendations to support strategic decisions regarding project initiation, continuation, or termination. • Actively use a Change Management Toolkit, ensuring key steps are followed and project resources contribute appropriately. • Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, tools, and formal program management methodologies. • Help lead all M&A activities related to integration of acquired assets.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. • Requires a minimum of 8 years strong strategic enterprise-wide program and project management (specifically with technology implementations and M&A integrations). • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred. • Minimum of 7 years experience in oil and gas industry with a strong understanding of natural gas industry standards, market trends, emerging issues, and regulatory requirements. • M&A integration experience in Upstream Oil and Gas, including setting up an IMO, workstream support, synergy identification, and value capture preferred. • Expert in strategy, portfolio, project management, process improvement, and change management. • Advanced leadership and management skills including achieving results through influence, guiding performance and development, and fostering a motivating and inclusive workplace. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and job-related applications e.g., project management and digital visualization software and tools. • Analytical, structured thinker. Ability to quickly break down problems, information, and data into logical groupings, clear next steps, etc.; naturally curious to continue asking the next question; fast to narrow in on the crux of an issue; ability to add structure quickly to ambiguity of all kinds. • Comfortable with numbers; strong experience analyzing complex data sets, building models, and identifying or understanding relationships between metrics. • Advanced PowerPoint skills. Building decks for C-Suite executives is required. • Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment, and work independently and as part of a team. • Expert interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. • Advanced attention to detail, organization, and prioritization. • Expert cognitive, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. • Growth mindset with an advanced ability to innovate, embrace change and have grit.
