Description

• Provide legal, regulatory and risk mitigation guidance throughout product development lifecycle • Partner with Product, Data Science, Data Acquisition, and related teams • Maintain documentation to facilitate efficient implementation of guidance • Draft terms of use, product policies, disclosures and implement related processes • Support go-to-market efforts for specific products and industries • Partner with commercial counsel on novel requirements • Remain up-to-date on relevant industry laws and regulations • Participate in privacy and data governance programs • Handle government and regulator discussions on compliance readiness efforts • Design training and sales enablement resources on key legal issues • Provide ideas and insights on innovation within the law • Special projects as they arise

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree • 5+ years of relevant experience • 2+ years of experience in consumer financial services with strong regulatory compliance and/or litigation background • Knowledge and working experience with FCRA, UDAAP, ECOA, consumer privacy laws, and dealing with regulators • Exposure to consumer finance laws and regulations, and/or the fintech industry is a plus • Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills • Excellent organization and prioritization skills • Self-awareness • Understanding of the commitment and hard work involved in working at a successful, fast growing start-up • Experience collaborating across functions, such as with Sales, Finance, Product, and Technology teams • A drive to voice your opinion and pursue continuous improvement • Demonstrated ability to make decisions under ambiguous circumstances • Adaptability to change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
