Description

• Advise multiple stakeholders across product, engineering, and business development throughout the product development cycle on compliance issues regarding Stack Overflow’s platform and ads products. • Understand and stay up to date on U.S. and international laws related to platforms and software. • Provide pragmatic day-to-day and strategic advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business goals. • Ability to draft clear public-facing disclosures, disclaimers, terms of use, or other documents. • Manage internal projects, training, and processes, driving cross-functional efforts to successful completion.

Requirements

• 6+ years relevant experience with a JD from a top law school; admitted to the Bar • Experience with SaaS and community platforms • Experience negotiating and drafting licensing agreements, including API agreements • Strong legal research skills and comfort tackling new and developing areas of law in the US and internationally • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail • Enthusiasm and passion for technology, law, and business • Eagerness and drive to continue learning • Sense of humor
