Description

• Own the company financial model and utilize scenario modeling to help senior leaders make key decisions • Make sound and data-driven business decisions to push Steno forward; monitoring performance and analyzing trends to reduce financial risk • Prepare and convert complex models into simple terms for collaboration • Manage the annual planning and budgeting process; create usable budgets for the business • Review operations for cost-saving opportunities; work cross-functionally to improve processes • Manage relationships with finance and tax-related vendors; own compliance deadlines alongside accountant • Work with the accounting team to ensure books are audit-ready • Advise VP of Finance and CEO regarding spending and budget

Requirements

• Background in investment banking and / or private equity • Academic background in Finance • Excellent mathematical, analytic, and Excel / Google Sheets skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a remote environment • Experience with data analysis and leveraging financial software • Critical thinker with creative problem-solving abilities • Excellent presentation skills when sharing data with leaders • Track record of creating unbiased budget expectations for departments • Highly organized with attention to detail • Desire to work with a tech startup and contribute to growth • Proficient with Mac and PC, comfortable learning new systems; familiarity with Google Suite is helpful
