ECOA Compliance Specialist

Description
• Monitor compliance with ECOA requirements • Ensure timely notification of loan status • Focus on ECOA and HMDA compliance • Collaborate with branches for correct ECOA status • Review and maintain loan records for correct ECOA notification • Serve as point of contact for ECOA and HMDA data collection • Monitor, test, and report on ECOA and HMDA programs • Run daily reports and provide updates to Compliance Manager
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalency required. • Minimum of three (3) years experience in the mortgage industry with a focus on compliance. • Working knowledge of compliance regulations, specifically ECOA, HMDA, and other regulatory requirements related to consumer protection laws. • Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem solving skills. • Strong analytical and organizational skills to perform multiple work assignments. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. • Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. • Proficient computer and accurate keyboard skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word and Excel. • Working knowledge of general office equipment such as phone system, copier, scanner, and the like. • Able to work flexible hours which may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends. • Able to adhere to various federal/state and GSE regulations related to the compliance functions of residential lending. • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities. • Able to lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
