📋 Description
• Responsible for requirement collection, benchmarking and simulation of injection molding processes • Interact with colleagues, vendors, and other manufacturing engineering functions regularly to exchange information and share results effectively • Ability to handle many projects simultaneously • Ability to learn all necessary software & simulation tools • Ability to travel to support solutions in the field – including (but not limited to TE Automotive Americas locations (Mexico and United States)) • Ability to rapidly prepare simulation models and deliver results • Superior time management skills and ability to work independently, as needed • A high-level understanding of stamping, plating, and assembly of TE products • Demonstrated problem solving ability and a strong mechanical aptitude
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Plastic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field • 3-5+ years of demonstrated expertise in Autodesk Moldflow Insight simulation • A deep understanding of injection molding manufacturing–especially concepts like plastic flow, shrinkage, warpage, and mold compensation • In-depth understanding of mold design
