Description

• The National Channel Sales Engineer (SE) is a professional engineer who works with our national channel partner(s) and customers nationwide to recommend pre-sales designs and post-sales deployments. • The National Channel SE will manage our national partner(s) and assist in training the internal pre-sales engineers as needed. • Ultimately, the CSE serves as a consultant and is viewed as an expert in their field by the account team and customers. • This channel sales engineer should be located in either Phoenix, AZ, or Chicago, Ill. area(s) and will travel up to 75%.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field • 4-5 years experience supporting channel partners and externally facing customers • Industry certifications • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Experience in designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications • Knowledge of other cloud computing solutions and integrations • General understanding of the competitive cloud landscape • Advanced understanding of internetworking, including new products and solutions • Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including; Internet security, firewall technologies, network technologies, data loss prevention solutions, wireless security • Proven track record of proactively creating and maintaining solid relationships with Channel Partners • Strong ability to assess customer requirements and a proper solution design • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set and manage expectations with senior stakeholders and team members • Demonstrated ability to make and take responsibility for decisions on technical issues • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to various external audiences and articulate the business benefits and technical advantages of Websense products and solutions, including communication with the executive level • Team-focused, with the ability to gain the personal support of others • Disciplined, organized, and methodical in approach to tasks and activities • Excellent problem-solving skills
