• As the leader of a large team in a complex environment, your role as a Senior Finance Manager will be focused on process improvements, streamlining data flows, and collaborating with various partners across the business • You will develop a comprehensive process improvement strategy to standardize data flows • This involves analyzing the current processes, identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and recommending and implementing process enhancements to streamline and optimize the invoicing workflow • You will manage a team of 4 direct reports, with an overall team of 45 individuals, within the Invoicing Swimlane • This includes providing clear direction, setting performance goals, and fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement • You will collaborate closely with partners from Finance, Client Services, and Operations to understand their needs and capture feedback on the invoicing process • Your role will focus on improving the overall customer experience by aligning our processes with the needs and expectations of internal and external partners • You will lead efforts associated with process improvements, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruptions • Ensure that the processes follow relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls • You will lead reporting on unbilled results and other key performance indicators (critical metrics) to measure the effectiveness of process improvements and monitor progress toward goals.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA, or equivalent, preferred • 7+ years experience in accounting or finance • 5+ years of directing a team in a fast-paced environment • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including PowerPoint, Excel, and PowerBI • Strong analytical skills and ability to action from insight • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage time independently • Self-motivated, high level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done • Exhibit leadership, initiative, and the Thermo Fisher Scientific 4i Values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
