• Support the maturity of the regulatory/compliance inquiries and exams process • Build and cultivate positive relationships with regulators, third-party partners, and external auditors, and internal stakeholders • Oversee and facilitate external reviews, audits, and supervisory exams by credibly challenging internal stakeholders on responses to requests and tracking/submitting requests timely • Provide consultative guidance on management responses to regulatory issues or findings • Monitor and report status of current/upcoming external reviews, audits, and supervisory exams to internal stakeholders • Support compliance personnel in remediating issues from external reviews, audits, and supervisory exams • Perform regulatory exam readiness assessments to proactively identify and escalate potential regulatory/compliance issues • Establish and maintain an inventory of standardized responses for common requests • Implement technology and tools to improve efficiency of the regulatory/compliance inquiries and exam management process

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required • At least five (5) years of experience in a risk, compliance, or audit role at a technology (FinTech preferred) company • Strong familiarity with laws and regulations related to money transmission, payments, payroll, credit, consumer, etc. • Ability to read and interpret complex regulatory language, synthesize, and articulate in an easily digestible manner • Strong critical and analytical thinking, decision making, and innovative problem-solving skills • Experience handling sophisticated regulatory inquiries and collaborating with senior leaders, business partners, compliance, and subject matter experts • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven track record of effective communication with regulatory agencies • Leader with ability to drive action and build consensus among cross-functional stakeholders • Ability to adapt in challenging and changing situations, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty • Detail oriented with the ability to meet firm deadlines • JD preferred
