• Tonix is looking for a full-time Director, Medical Science Liaison responsible for aligning scientific expertise with organizational goals to support the commercialization and development of the Company's product portfolio. • This position leads, directs, coordinates, and supports the activities of the Field Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to achieve clinical, strategic and business objectives. • This position works cross-functionally to identify, develop, and implement field MSL hiring, training, strategies, and tactics. • The incumbent helps drive impactful medical engagement, support evidence generation through investigator-initiated trials (IITs), and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and the broader healthcare community. • Additional responsibilities include evaluating the outcomes of planned scientific exchange activities and ensuring alignment with Tonix’s indication and product strategies. This involves effective communication, education, fostering KOL outreach and relationship development, and requests for medical information, as needed. • This position will report directly to the Vice President, Medical Affairs and will be based remotely.
• Advanced degree in medical sciences (MS, MD, PharmD, or PhD) • 7-10 years of combined drug safety experience clinical research and medical/pharmacy experience. Experience may substitute for an advanced degree. • At least 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, with demonstrated success in field-based roles (e.g., MSL) or related industry positions. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in people leadership, with prior experience managing MSL teams strongly preferred. • Product pre-launch and launch experience highly desirable. • Background in neurology, fibromyalgia, and migraine is preferred. • Strong time management, administrative, and organizational skills. • Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external decision-makers. • Excellent communication skills, including diplomacy and the ability to blend scientific expertise with relationship-building. • Leadership and team management skills, with experience disseminating strategic information and aligning teams with a clear vision and objectives. • Ability to make timely decisions under pressure, even with incomplete information or tight deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement. • Solid understanding of regulatory and industry standards applicable to Medical Affairs, including FDA, OIG, and PhRMA guidelines. • Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance laws, regulations, and best practices related to scientific communication and MSL activities. • Experience in leading Medical Affairs training initiatives, with an understanding of adult learning principles. • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams within a dynamic organizational environment. • Capacity to translate customer and internal client needs into actionable decisions. • Willingness to travel 50% or more as needed.
