• Review and analyze retirement plan documents. • Prepares and manages plan and funding documents for 401(a), 401(k), 403(b), 457, and NQDC plans. • Prepare plan documents, summary plan descriptions, amendments and funding documents. • Verify accrued benefits are protected, system issues identified and documents are congruent with system setup. • Consult with clients, client counsel, advisors, and other operational areas regarding complex plan design changes. • Research specific client plan design/compliance situations as assigned. • Review, analyze and consult on plan mergers and spin-offs. • Develop plan filing packages for IRS determination letters. • Assist with plan terminations by assessing status of terminated/abandoned plans. • May mentor and provide assistance to lower level staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent education/experience. • Five years of pension/retirement plan experience. • In-depth knowledge of retirement plan regulations and plan documents. • Strong customer focus, communication and interpersonal skills. • Analytical skills and attention to detail. • Decision-making and problem-solving skills. • Organizational skills. • Proficiency using MS Office tools.
