Description
• Oversee and optimize portfolio performance of clinical product categories within VCU Health. • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions while maintaining relationships. • Work with cross-functional teams to establish pricing structures and ensure competitiveness. • Implement strategic sourcing and manage specific categories to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance. • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost. • Execute cost reduction strategies and mitigate supply chain risks. • Collaborate with departments to align category strategies with business objectives. • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies related to procurement practices.
Requirements
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of data and documentation with attention to detail and accuracy. • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias. • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting autonomously leading various types of solicitations, e.g., RFPs, RFIs, RFWQs, etc. • Combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
