Description

β€’ The Area Sales Director is responsible for developing, inspiring, and leading a Regional Sales team. β€’ Strong preference for candidates sitting within/among MN, WI, MI, IL, IN, OH, KY, TN. β€’ Attracts, retains, develops, coaches, and manages a team of Territory Managers. β€’ Builds territory sales plans, executes sales strategy, and procures opportunities. β€’ Partners with Inside Sales Managers to follow up on leads and targeted accounts. β€’ Drives and manages area sales team through pipeline development and performance goals. β€’ Analyzes market dynamics to maximize successes and create new sales opportunities. β€’ Educates the team on industry factors including competitive products and customer needs. β€’ Prepares forecasts, industry management, and growth plans. β€’ Establishes performance metrics and addresses deficiencies. β€’ Serves as contact for large enterprise clients when necessary. β€’ Ensures team and individual sales plans align with corporate revenue goals. β€’ Fosters a positive team environment. β€’ Ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory.

Requirements

β€’ Highly skilled Challenger, COTS, and Solution Selling strategies β€’ Proven sales leadership experience in hiring and developing sellers β€’ Demonstrated experience in improving transactional and strategic sales teams β€’ Proven experience in leveraging marketing tech stack and field intelligence β€’ Ability to engage CIO/CISO executives proactively β€’ Command of business by working cross-functionally β€’ Knowledge of industry dynamics including storage, backup, and data protection β€’ Proven ability to work with marketing and channel for campaigns β€’ 10+ years of management experience
