📋 Description

• Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, corporate governance, and securities. • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including service agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, particularly those pertaining to the logistics and supply chain industry. • Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures. • Oversee and manage outside counsel relationships, including budgeting and strategic direction. • Advise on employment law matters, including employee contracts, benefits, and dispute resolution. • Assist with intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. • Participate in strategic planning and business development activities to support the company’s growth objectives. • Provide training and guidance to the company on legal and compliance matters.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Active membership in at least one state bar. • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on corporate law. • Prior experience in the supply chain, logistics, or technology sectors is highly desirable. • Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management and external stakeholders. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • High ethical standards and professional integrity. • Bonus Points • Experience with startup environments or high-growth companies. • Knowledge of Elixir programming language or other functional programming languages. • Familiarity with international trade laws and regulations. • Previous in-house counsel experience. • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities. • Experience with data privacy and cybersecurity issues.
