Description

•Waymark is a team of healthcare providers, technologists, and builders whose mission is to bring the best healthcare to people with Medicaid benefits. •This role sits between engineering teams and analytics teams, bridging the gap between exploratory data analysis and enterprise-grade data solutions. •Collaborate on ML/AI-driven workflows, mentor engineers, and evaluate new technologies.

Requirements

•10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focusing on data-intensive applications. •Expert-level proficiency in Python and at least one compiled language (e.g., Elixir, Java). •Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and relational databases. •Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). •Strong background in software architecture, best practices including code quality-driven design and system optimization and scaling. •Knowledge/familiarity of (or direct experience with) machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps best practices. •Proven track record of leading complex technical projects and mentoring other engineers. •Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in technical challenges. •Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
