📋 Description
• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the accounting function for our mission-driven, edtech, SaaS company. • As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Controller will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes. • This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to build scalable financial systems.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred. • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in SaaS or technology companies. • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. • Experience with SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) and subscription-based business models. • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems). • Proven ability to implement process improvements and scalable accounting practices. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. • Experience managing audits and tax compliance processes.
