•Director, Scientific Communications, GA will be a strategic partner responsible for developing, managing, and executing scientific content across various platforms to support Annexon’s medical and scientific objectives focused on Geographic atrophy (GA). •This role involves creating high-quality scientific materials, managing communication processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. •This position will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to advance the scientific messaging and impact of Annexon’s therapeutic areas. •This role will report to the Vice President of Medical Affairs.
•Graduate level degree in health sciences, pharmacy, or public health required. •A minimum of 10 years’ experience in biopharma Medical Affairs, Medical Information, publications, and/or operations. •Therapeutic area expertise in immunology, neurology, and/or ophthalmology. •Proven partner management skills to achieve results based on key performance indicators. •Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle, and commercialization process. •Knowledge of GPP, and all applicable regional, and international regulations and guidelines. •Project management, and resource planning/management experience. •Skilled at effectively communicating complex scientific/clinical concepts and data in written and oral forms. •Experienced at engagement and scientific exchange with scientists and clinicians. •Proven record of solving problems coupled with exhibiting good judgement regarding relevant issues.
