📋 Description

• The Role: We are looking for a self-motivated, approachable, and business-savvy technology lawyer to join our in-house legal team and support Apryse’s growing business. • The ideal candidate learns quickly, thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional legal work in an efficient and pragmatic manner. • The candidate will play an important role in Apryse’s legal department and business, supporting our sales efforts, strategic initiatives, compliance team, integration of acquired companies and other day-to-day legal matters across our global group of companies. • This role is remote-first, with a preference for candidates in the EST or CST time zones. • Responsibilities: Draft and negotiate software license agreements, vendor agreements, reseller agreements, business associate agreements and other commercial contracts. • Provide day-to-day legal advice and pragmatically resolve issues that arise across the business. • Support compliance team with investigating and resolving suspected instances of misuse of our software. • Work with legal and business stakeholders to develop and support processes for contracting and other legal matters to improve efficiency, scalability and productivity. • Assist with drafting, updating and maintaining template license agreements and terms of service for new and existing products and company policies. • Work collaboratively and efficiently with external legal counsel where required.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited law school, licensed to practice law in the United States and a member in good standing with applicable bar association. • 5 to 7+ years of relevant legal experience, in a major law firm and/or in-house (ideally at a B2B software company). • Experience working with software licensing and technology-related transactions. • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to understand the interplay of legal and business terms, and to advocate a strong position while maintaining a positive relationship with the other party. • Ability to grasp legal and business issues and provide tailored advice in plain language to non-legal stakeholders. • Creative problem-solver who can take a leadership role in transactions and resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and practical ways. • Proactive, service-oriented attitude, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative business relationships at all levels of the organization. • Impeccable attention to detail, organized and able to self-motivate and work well independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
