• Partners with leadership and leads the creation and deployment of key strategies to promote YOY revenue growth and engagement with the new client base. • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions. • Establishes, cultivates and maintains relationships with prospects to grow through new business opportunities by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements. • Serves as a subject matter expert on Assurant’s products and services and articulates business proposition to the “right” prospects at the “right” time. • Identify new prospects and build a sales pipeline that includes new business opportunities that align with Assurant’s products and services. • Guides direct and matrix resources in development of annual business plans and growth strategies to ensure metrics and revenue goals are being met. • Guides team(s) in through deal creation that align to the organizational strategy that encompasses cross-functional teams. • Well-developed understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive • Understands go-to-market models across prospect and product line segments and execute against them.
• BS/BA Degree; MBA preferred • 12+ years business development, sales and/or marketing experience • 10+ years interacting with large clients and developing strategic relationships, with specific time spent with Retail clients who are not in the mobile industry • 5+ years directly leading the work of others • Ability to develop and execute strategic mid-term (2 - 3 year) plans • Deep understanding of complex deals / contracts • Well-developed business / financial acumen / P&L Management Experience • Well-developed communication skills (effective pitching to senior leaders) • Well-developed understanding of deal making nuances (i.e., timing, negotiating points, anticipation of needs, market, economy) • Well-developed product knowledge/insights • Well-developed prospecting capabilities • Solutions orientation • Experience working in a Retail Channel, that has been outside of the mobile industry • Ability to travel up to 50%
