Description

• Lead data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence R&D activities at AURA. • Architect maintainable data science solutions for commercial delivery. • Mentor data science team members to build sustainable software products. • Develop data science process automation, including automated data cleaning and model deployment. • Identify opportunities for AI/ML product improvement and support new business development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in data science, which may include working as a data analyst, data scientist, data science management, or a related field (a doctorate may be substituted for experience in the case of a qualified candidate) • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership position related to data science, which may include working as a lead data scientist, data science architect, technical fellow, data science manager, or similar role. • Have demonstrable experience in the development and delivery of external customer-facing AI or machine learning applications or solutions. • Hands-on experience with at least one major category of AI/ML, such as computer vision, time-series analysis, prognostics, diagnostics, and predictive maintenance. • Possess strong communication and writing skills, including communicating AI/ML algorithms to stakeholders who may not understand data science principles. • Fluency in at least one data science programming language (Python, R, Julia) and expertise with distributed platforms for data science and analytics (Spark, Hadoop, Databricks).
