Description

• The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. • Prepare and maintain financial records, ensure transactions are properly recorded including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Participate in the monthly close process including reconciling balance sheet accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies, reviewing revenue and expenses for proper coding, and preparing journal entries. • Assist in the preparation of management reports such as budget to actuals, variance analysis, gross margin analysis. • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes. • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. • Assist with internal and external audits. • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data. • Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a mid-sized company. • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online. • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy. • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas etc.) • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
