Description

• The Business Development Manager is a key function in our sales team and works in close collaboration with Marketing and Product Management to develop and execute the market strategy and sales. • The Business Development Manager is responsible to set the strategy for his/her target segment and strategic accounts. • The strategy will be driven through the value chain addressing relevant functions to support it. • The strategy will allow Avery Dennison to successfully introduce innovations answering unmet needs or displace competitive solutions by leveraging differentiation in the value proposition. • The Business Development Manager has both development and “direct selling” responsibility. • Identify, assess, develop and manage new programs and new business opportunities and lead to successful commercialization efforts. • Incorporate knowledge of the industry to partner with stakeholders to develop market right products, support materials and pricing recommendations across all RFID solutions. • Work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs, and present compelling solutions. • Stay abreast industry trends by attending trade shows, events and staying on top of market insights as well as global branding trends. • Develop long-term business opportunities. • Develop and maintain strong, multi-level relationships with business partners at the customers’ and partners’ organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, economics, and/or technical area. • Strong knowledge of the RFID industry required. • At least 5-10 years experience, demonstrable track record with clear knowledge of the market, technologies, players, and channels. • Strong relationship building skills internally and externally. • Strong influencing skills and storytelling skills and ability to champion projects both cross functionally and vertically within the organization. • Have a solid understanding of finance and ROI analysis. • Interpersonal, teamwork, and written communications skills. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to execute. • Up to 50% travel may be required.
