Description

• Define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas • Train and manage a Regional Sales Engineer when needed • Generate and qualify leads for subsequent development • Perform key account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities • Develop technical specifications that support product position and facilitate operational efficiency • Ensure all sales activity and opportunities are up to date in Salesforce, our CRM system • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the products offered by UGS • Conduct sales calls and make product/service presentations • Recommend proposal and contract prices

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering preferred • 5 years of experience in technical sales within the water industry, Consulting Engineer in the municipal water market, or Technical Direct Sales • Experienced with Salesforce, or other CRM, and expertise with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook • Must be competitive, goal-oriented self-motivated, good listener and manage time wisely • Must be able to process complex information and unique client needs quickly • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to persuade, motivate and empower clients and co-workers • Must be a strong communicator able to take initiative and be disciplined to function independently • Must be able to travel to clients and vendor site at least 50% of the time.
