Description

• Function as a Commercial expert, guiding vendors and partners to proper purchasing and vendor management behaviors. • Develop and maintain relationships with category-based suppliers to achieve desired performance and savings results of category plan/strategy. • Draft and negotiate mutually beneficial contracts that achieve desired results and mitigate risk. • Develop appropriate supplier relationship management strategies, analyzing cost reductions and supplier performance improvement opportunities or risks. • Maintain strong business relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, seamlessly incorporating appropriate strategies and tactics to creatively solve negotiations. • Recognize intellectual property risks, manage issues that arise and elevate appropriately in a confidential manner. • Prepare purchase orders through Coupa system, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with existing policies and procedures. • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decreasing turnaround times and streamlining work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • 4-years of experience in purchasing cycles and buying processes • Knowledge of purchasing regulations, legal compliance, policies and procedures with demonstrated advanced negotiations, contract and sourcing skills • Background and experience in at least one or more of the following sourcing categories: IT, Facilities, Legal, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, HR and/or Consultants • Preferred: Strong understanding of the veterinary health market, including products, services and customer needs • Preferred: Ability to understand and interpret key financial statements and components of ROTA. • Preferred: Understanding of and ability to conduct SWOT, TOWS Matrix, and/or Porter’s Five Forces Model.
