Description

• Seeking an experienced Director of Data Science and Engineering to lead and shape data-driven strategies. • Focus on developing and delivering impactful solutions across the operations value chain. • Drive innovation and optimization in predictive analytics for technical operations. • Oversee collaborative development and deployment of data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and business value. • Lead and mentor a diverse team of data scientists and software engineers. • Ensure solutions integrate purposefully into business processes for measurable impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree (preferred) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field) • 15+ years of experience in the biotechnology industry with demonstrated leadership in data science and engineering. • Strong scientific understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams of data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders. • Extensive experience in designing and managing cloud-based data pipelines, with hands-on expertise in platforms like Databricks and working across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Strong Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and experience with data visualization tools like R-Shiny/Dash/Streamlit/D3.js • Solid mathematical foundations in machine learning and AI, with a deep understanding of probability, statistics, optimization algorithms and architecture for developing predictive models and AI applications. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience driving cross-functional initiatives.
