Description

β€’ Responsible for the identification, pursuit, and winning of new business opportunities. β€’ Scour government agency procurement data sources for information on potential opportunities. β€’ Initiate the sales process by building relationships; qualifying opportunities; scheduling meetings. β€’ Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives. β€’ Develop target client relationships and establish teaming arrangements with partner companies. β€’ Prepare and deliver Gate Reviews and bid/No-Bid presentations to senior management. β€’ Support the proposal process by contributing content and preparing cost estimates. β€’ Build and maintain a healthy and credible pipeline of opportunities. β€’ Help the Growth Team manage and enhance the overall Business Development lifecycle process.

Requirements

β€’ Ideal candidate will have over 5 years of DoD federal government sales experience. β€’ College degree (4-year degree or higher) is preferred. β€’ Federal BD experience including lead generation, pipeline management, capture activities, and demonstrations/presentations to federal decision makers. β€’ Strong oral and written communication skills, candidate should be comfortable meeting and interacting with new people at trade shows and conferences as well as cold calling future sales prospects. β€’ Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives at one time. β€’ Well established networks in the Defense community; candidate must establish/expand relationships with prospective clients, as well as identify and develop relationships with current and future partners. β€’ Strong knowledge and experience with Federal Government contracting processes and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.).
