📋 Description

• Report to and work with the Editor-in-Chief to set and execute editorial priorities • Manage a group of editors within the Editorial department • Identify and pursue authors and books for the imprints • Guide editors to produce high quality creative content • Support the Editor-in-Chief in shaping a growing, profitable program • Collaborate with multiple departments to optimize processes • Be the project manager and primary point of contact for scheduling • Negotiate contracts for new projects being acquired • Collaborate on go-to-market strategies and identify key opportunities • Manage creator and licensor approvals on editorial production assets • Distribute updates, reports, and presentations

🎯 Requirements

• 7-10+ years’ experience in comic book & graphic novel editorial is required • Previous experience supervising/managing a team of Editors is a plus • Superb organizational, prioritization, and time management skills • Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and meet deadlines • A team player with the ability to build relationships with other departments • A strategic and critical thinker who observes market conditions and trends • Outstanding ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment • Creative and entrepreneurial spirit to channel innovation into book form • Curiosity for new voices, ideas, and breaking trends
