β’ Reporting into the Head of the Technology Office, the Director will help shape and implement our AI Platform, ensuring the solution is scalable, secure, and aligned with our goals. β’ Develop and implement AI/ML models and algorithms using advanced principles, architectures, and frameworks. β’ Use proficiency in popular programming languages and libraries to lead AI development projects. β’ Design, develop, or manage AI platforms, including cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google with large and small language models (open and closed). β’ Develop data pipelines, implement data processing techniques, and manage data storage solutions for AI workloads. β’ Use software development lifecycle, DEVOPS, and testing methodologies to ensure scalable AI solutions. β’ Align AI programs with overarching team goals and translate them into relevant roadmaps. β’ Build and direct AI teams, promote a culture of innovation and learning. β’ Collaborate with partners and leaders across different areas of the business. β’ Manage partners, deliver AI projects on time and within budget, manage resources and risks. β’ Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in AI technology, identify potential opportunities and threats. β’ Champion AI, its potential, and our roadmap with all partners.
β’ Undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, mathematics, or equivalent. β’ Master's degree and related certifications desirable. β’ 10+ years' relevant IT experience. β’ 4+ years' managerial experience and/or demonstrated leadership experience. β’ Experience managing IT projects within a global environment. β’ Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable. β’ Background in solution architecture, with a focus on cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. β’ Deep Technical Knowledge: Cloud-native architecture and best practices, especially around containers (Dockers, Kubernetes), APIs, Agile Methodology and CI/CD. β’ Data Engineering and Big Data Technologies: Proficiency in frameworks such as batch processing, stream processing using tools like Apache Spark, Databricks etc. β’ MLOps and AI Model, & Solution Lifecycle Management: Experience with the entire lifecycle of data products and solutions. β’ Platform Architectures: Experience with different platform architectures and data innovations such as data meshes, data warehouses, data lakes and data lakehouses. β’ Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical industry (HIPAA, GxP, GDPR). β’ Data Governance and Compliance: Experience implementing data governance, compliance, and master data management practices. β’ Experience with different data structures and data systems in big enterprise software such as ERP, CRM, LIMS etc. β’ DevOps experience and ML/AI engineering a plus.
