β€’ Make a difference advocating for the rights of people with disabilities β€’ Remote position with flexible working conditions β€’ Essential advocacy and legal support, mainly focusing on administrative hearings β€’ Lead training and provide technical assistance to attorneys and advocates β€’ Perform community-based advocacy and outreach

Requirements

β€’ Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) or equivalent and membership in good standing with the California State Bar β€’ Seven years of experience practicing law β€’ Four years of demonstrated experience in representation at administrative hearings or civil litigation β€’ Strong relationships and collaboration skills β€’ Expertise in areas of law for intellectually and developmentally disabled Californians β€’ Ability to work independently with minimal administrative support β€’ Knowledge of rights for people with disabilities in California β€’ Strong sense of professional responsibility and ethics β€’ Ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail β€’ Desirable: Fluent in Spanish or an Asian language, training experience, proficiency with Windows-based applications, varied perspectives engagement skills
